The Materials

Each IMCW pieces is handcrafted with love by our artisan, and many of the components are assembled by hand using premium materials. As a consequence, tiny variations in the colour, size, and pattern of the jewelry are possible.

We feel that jewelry should be an everyday essential piece and we made an effort to source ethical, high-quality materials. Our jewelry is hypoallergenic and safe to come in contact with skin. While we cannot 100% guarantee that you will not react to any of our items, we would be pleased to address any additional questions you may have and assist you in resolving the problem if you do.

Stainless Steel

IMCW stainless steel jewelry has both silver and gold options.

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is a corrosion-resistant metal that is also hypoallergenic. It's a great option for people who are allergic to metals. When compared to gold or silver, stainless steel is extremely durable and scratch resistant.

It's easy to maintain because it is water-resistant so it resists rust, discoloration, and oxidation. Making it an ideal material for our jewelry!

What is gold PVD coating?

Our gold stainless steel jewelry is PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coated with 18k gold, a high-tech vacuum coating process that provides a bright and sturdy exterior, to achieve a luxurious gold jewelry.

We use Gold PVD coating because it is 10 times thicker than standard gold plating. Our high-end jewelry requires a coating that’s more durable, is longer lasting and is resistant to corrosion.

How to care stainless steel jewelry?

Stainless steel jewelry will not rust but it can tarnish over time. The rate of tarnishing depends on how the jewelry is used.  Just like any other jewelry avoid contact with chemicals (perfumes, lotions, bleach, acid, chlorine from pools etc.). Wash periodically using a soft cloth and mild soapy water then dry immediately with clean, soft cloth.
